Night Out activities will be held on the Section 5 Greenway on Tuesday,
August 3, from 6 to 9 p.m. in collaboration with the 45th Precinct.
There will be games, entertainment and giveaways. |
| Annual Fall Fair on
September 12 |
|
The annual RiverBay fall Community Fair will be held on Sunday,
September 12, from noon to 6 p.m. on the Section 5 Greenway. The
rain date is Sunday, September 19.
There will be great items on sale, food, drinks, games, prizes and much,
much more. Come on down and join the fun.
If you are interested in purchasing a booth at the fair, the charges are
$80 for private vendors and $125 for food vendors.

| Farmers' Market Begins July 10 |
The Co-op City Farmers' Market, presented in collaboration with
Harvest Home, will return to Co-op City every Saturday starting from July
10 to November 20, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the Section 1 Greenway
between Benchley Place and Connor Street across from the Little League
field.
Harvest Home Farmers' Market of New York brings fresh produce direct from
tri-state farmers to consumers in areas around New York City.
WIC Farmers' Market and Senior Farmers' Market are accepted.

Jazzmobile Comes to Co-op City in July and August
|

The
Black Forum of Co-op City will present Jazzmobile in two concerts on the
Section 5 greenway in July and August.
On Monday, July 12, Latin Jazz by Jose Obando will be presented. The
second concert will take place on Monday, August 16, featuring jazz vocals
by Ghanniyya Green.
Both concerts will begin at 7 p.m. on the greenway behind Building 33,
rain or shine.
Bring your chair or blanket and enjoy the music.
This concert is supported by the RiverBay Fund.

PS 153 in Education Park beginning in February, 2010.

Bereavement Support at Church of the Savior

Church of the Savior bereavement support group meets every Monday from
7:30 to 8:30 p.m. and Thursday from 1
to 2 p.m. on the ground floor of Building 7, 120 DeKruif
Place. All Co-op City residents who are struggling to overcome the
loss of close family member or friend are eligible to participate in this
secular, non-denominational support group. Anyone who is interested may attend or call the church at

charge for any of the sessions and you do not have to register prior to
attending. |
Assemblyman Benedetto Relocates to New Office

Assemblyman Michael R. Benedetto has moved to a new district office

Wash your laundry only when you have a full load
Fill the drier when drying clothes. When the drier is full, the
clothes dry more quickly.

Bartow's Parking Lot
|
|
The parking lot of the Bartow Shopping Center is closed each night from 11
p.m. until 6 a.m. Vehicles should not be left overnight in the
parking lot as violators will be towed at the owner's expense.

Caregiver Support Program in Co-op
City

The Jewish Association for Services for the Aged is hosting a support
program for caregivers designed to help Co-op City residents who are
charged with providing care for a loved one who is unable to care for him
or herself. Participants share their feelings with other caregivers.
The program meets from 1 to 2 p.m. every other Tuesday in Room 31 of the
Bartow Community Center. For registration information, call Frank

to shareholders by certified mail each month as a cost savings
measure. Beginning next month, this information will be published
well in advance in the Co-op City Times, as well as placed on the RiverBay
