Department Description

    RiverBay's community Relations Department is responsible for planning and executing special programs, events and activities for the residents of Co-op City.  These programs have always been well attended and well enjoyed by our residents and those of our outlying areas.  All the events that Community Relations plan and execute are supported by the RiverBay fund.

What is the RiverBay Fund?

    The RiverBay Fund is a not-for-profit 501 © (3) organization within the RiverBay Corporation. It is run by RiverBay’s Community Relations department and is overseen by Co-op City’s Board Members. Since 1980, the RiverBay Fund has been promoting educational, recreational, and cultural activities that are enjoyed by Co-op City’s residents and those in the outlying areas. These programs and activities are provided either free of charge or at a minimal cost. The RiverBay Fund has done some pretty amazing things in the past, some of which are listed below:


        ▪Community Fairs 

        ▪The Annual 5K Run
        ▪Black History Month Programs 

        ▪Jazz Concerts
        ▪Health Fairs 

        ▪An Afternoon of Doo Wop
        ▪Thanksgiving Feasts 

        ▪Coat Drives


What are the future goals of Community Relations?

     Here at Community Relations, our goal is not only to continue past programs but to introduce
new and exciting initiatives. This year we have teamed up with the various Co-op City Sports Leagues to insure their future success.
