APARTMENT WAITING LISTS

RiverBay Corporation has waiting lists for all of our apartments.  Co-op City residents who applied to transfer to another apartment  before January 1, 2009 will find their position on the waiting list by looking at this web site.  If you applied for an apartment after January 1, 2009, you will use this site as well as HCR's Web Site to find your position on the waiting list.  Follow the steps below based on when you applied.

IF YOU ARE A CURRENT CO-OP CITY RESIDENT WHO APPLIED TO TRANSFER TO A NEW APARTMENT BEFORE JANUARY 1, 2009, FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO FIND YOUR POSITION ON THE WAITING LIST.  AS OF 10/12/12, THERE ARE NO CURRENT RESIDENTS ON THE WAITING LIST TO TRANSFER TO A ONE OR THREE BEDROOM APARTMENT OR A TOWNHOUSE WHO APPLIED BEFORE 1/1/2009.

If you currently live in an apartment at Co-op City, your account number may be found on your occupancy agreement.

If you applied for a two-bedroom apartment, click on Two Bedroom Highrise.  Look for the list that corresponds to the size apartment for which you applied.  Look under account number for your account number.  When you find your account number, look at the number in the first column to find your position on the list.

IF YOU APPLIED FOR AN APARTMENT AFTER JANUARY 1, 2009, FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO FIND YOUR POSITION ON THE WAITING LIST

If you applied for a one-bedroom apartment, click on One Bedroom Highrise.  Add up the number of people in all the waiting lists for one-bedroom apartments.

If you applied for a two-bedroom apartment, click on Two Bedroom Highrise.  Add up the number of people in all the waiting lists for two-bedroom apartments.

If you applied for a three-bedroom apartment, click on Three Bedroom Highrise.  Add up the number of people in all the waiting lists for three-bedroom apartments.

If you applied for a one- or three-bedroom townhouse, click on Townhouse.  Look for the list that corresponds to the size apartment for which you applied.  Note how many people are on the waiting list.

After you find out how many people who applied before January 1, 2009, are on the waiting list for the size apartment for which you applied, go to https://www1.dhcr.state.ny.us/AutomatedWaitingList/GenerateWaitlist.aspx .  Use the down arrow to choose Co-op City (Riverbay) from the list. Click on the SUBMIT button. Go to the section called Available Waiting Lists.

If you are a current Co-op City resident waiting to transfer to a new apartment, click on Generate Waiting List for Application Type equals “Internal Transfer” and “Apartment Size” is the size apartment for which you applied.  Using your application number, find your position on the list.   Return to the top of the page and go into the Waiting List for Application Type equals “Admissions” and Apartment Size is the size apartment for which you applied.   Note how many are in this list.  Your approximate position on the waiting list is the sum of the number of people who applied prior to January 1, 2009, the number of people on the "Admissions" list and your position on the "Internal Transfer" list.

If you are a new applicant, click on Generate Waiting List for Application Type equals “Admissions” and Apartment Size is the size apartment for which you applied. The list will appear at the bottom of the page.  Using your application number, find your position on the list.  Return to the top of the page and go into the Waiting List for Application Type equals “Internal Transfer” and Apartment Size is the size apartment for which you applied.   Note how many are in this list.  Your approximate position on the waiting list is the sum of the number of people who applied prior to January 1, 2009, the number of people on the "Internal Transfer" list and your position on the "Admissions" list.

If, for example, you applied for a 4-room apartment after January 1, 2009, and there are twenty-five people on the One Bedroom Highrise page list for a one bedroom apartment.  When you go to HCR's Automated Waiting List and find that you are 7th on the "Admissions" list for a one bedroom apartment and there are thirty-two in the "Internal Transfer" waiting list for a one bedroom apartment, then your approximate position on the waiting list is 25 + 7 + 32 = 64.
